When a new vehicle comes out in the auto industry that makes everyone start talking about it, something great has to have happened since its last model year.  That’s exactly what has happened with the new Ford F-150.  The 2015 Ford F-150 in Grand Junction, CO has been completely redesigned and everything about it has gotten better.

America’s best-selling truck, the Ford F-150 has received many changes but none of them are more significant than its new lightweight body.  Over ninety percent of the new F-150’s body is made from aluminum alloy which has helped the Ford truck decrease its overall weight by 700 lbs.  The extreme weight loss will help the new 2015 Ford F-150 in Grand Junction, CO increase its fuel economy and capabilities.

Another big change in the new Ford F-150 models is the addition of a new engine to its already amazing choices.  The newly available turbocharged 2.7-liter EcoBoost® V-6 engine with start/stop technology will provide the same power as some mid-range V-8’s while still providing drivers with increased fuel economy. The auto start/stop technology in the 2015 Ford F-150 is specifically tuned for truck owners.  The engine shuts off to save fuel when the F-150 is stopped if it is not towing or in four-wheel drive mode and restarts when the brake is released.

Another standard feature in the new 2015 Ford F-150’s that are equipped with EcoBoost® engines are the Active Grille Shutters.  This feature keeps the front grille shutters open if the engine needs to be cooled during low-speeds or in hot weather.  The Active Grille Shutters close automatically to increase aerodynamics during cruising speeds.
