The base trim of the 2017 Ford Escape lineup is equipped with a generous amount of standard features like a rearview camera and 60/40 split-folding rear seats, and the value builds from there. The middle trim offers more standard features with some upgrades like dual-zone automatic temperature control and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The highest trim offers the most premium features and the ultimate upgrades like a leather-wrapped steering wheel and ambient lighting. 2017 Ford Escape S vs SE vs Titanium: Powertrains

The 2017 Ford Escape lineup features three engine options. The S trim comes standard with a 2.5L iVCT and the SE and Titanium trim come standard with a 1.5L EcoBoost with Auto Start-Stop. The available 2.0L Twin Scroll EcoBoost engine with Auto Start-Stop is offered on both the SE and Titanium trims. All engines are mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift capability, and all trims include include curve control and an electric parking brake.

No matter which trim level is chosen, the 2017 Ford Escape sports an affordable price tag. Since the S trim is the base level, and offers the least amount of features, it is the most affordable trim of the lineup. Likewise, the Titanium trim is the most expensive, as it offers the most high-value features. The S starts out at $23,600; the SE at $25,100, and the Titanium at $29,100.
