The highly anticipated release of the all-new, completely redesigned 2018 Ford Expedition is expected this Fall 2017. With only a few more months to wait, Ford has released more detailed information regarding some of the updates including a class-exclusive Pro Trailer Backup Assist system, an upgraded towing capacity and tons of new technology features.
More than half of Expedition drivers value towing, which is why Ford focused on ways to improve this specific performance capability for the new model. The Pro Trailer Backup Assist system will make it easier than ever before to back up a trailer. Whether it’s launching a boat or parking in a tight space, the system will allow drivers to steer the trailer using a control knob. The Expedition will take care of the rest by steering the wheel and limiting the vehicle’s speed.

What’s new for the 2018 Ford Expedition?
In addition to the Pro Trailer Backup Assist system and upgraded towing capabilities, drivers will have tons of new connectivity features that are sure to make every drive more enjoyable. We’re going to highlight some of them below:

- Rear seat entertainment system
- SYNC 3 & SYNC Connect
- B&O PLAY premium audio system
When it comes to space and organization, drivers will have an advanced cargo manager behind the third row. It features an adjustable shelf that allows drivers to create a custom storage space and keep items safe from falling out even when the liftgate is opened. There is also an available Panoramic Vista Roof, which covers two rows and is not offered by any competitor.
