Spring is springing in Grand Junction, and many of our favorite activities for this season revolve around the upcoming Easter holiday. For the kids, that means waking up and finding their basket – what will be inside? Furthermore, there are egg hunts! Whether you’re having your own in the house (Pro tip: you might want to map out where you hide them all to avoid stinky summer surprises should one be overlooked) or not, you should think about getting out to one of the larger ones held around town. Here’s our roundup for Easter egg hunts in Grand Junction CO 2016:
Easter Egg Scramble | Fruita Community Center
Wednesday March 23 @ 4pm
This is an afternoon event at the Fruita Community Center for kids six and under. There will be separate egg hunt activities for children 0-3 and 4-6. There will be an Easter bunny visit and picture opportunities, so don’t forget your camera. Activities will begin right at 4:00, so make sure you get there ahead of time.
Kidabaloo! | Two Rivers Convention Center, Grand Junction
Saturday March 26, 10am – 3pm
Here we’ve got an egg hunt and so much more! There will be a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny, cool experiments, vendors, and a yet-to-be-announced celebrity guest! Yeah, you don’t want to miss this one! The cost is $5 a person or a family 4-pack for $15, and children 2 and under are free! You can get tickets at the Townsquare Media office or Bananas Fun Park.
Western Colorado Botanical Gardens Easter Egg Hunt | 641 Struthers Ave, Grand Junction
Sunday March 26, 11am – noon
The Easter Bunny and friends will be present at the Western Colorado Botanical Garden, with egg hunts separated by age group as follows: ages 1&2 in the children’s garden at 11am, ages 305 on the front lawn at 11:20am, and ages 6-8 on the front lawn at 11:40am. Come register ahead of time from 10am onward, and bring your own basket. Cost is $5 per child, or $3 if you’re a member at the garden.
Easter Egg Hunt & Pancake Breakfast | Victory Life Church in Fruita
Saturday March 26, 10am
There will be a pancake breakfast at 10am followed by the egg hunt at 11am. There will be Bump-n-Jumps, candy-filled eggs to discover, and much more. This event is free.
