When you’re in the market for a new pickup, you’ve got a lot to look forward to. First of all, you’re getting an upgrade from whatever you’re driving now. Smoother handling, better fuel economy, and updated features are all probably in store for you in addition to whatever capability needs you’ve got to fulfill. Another thing you’ll need to consider carefully is what kind of cab you need. Today we’re looking at the Ford F-150 and determining differences between the Supercab and Supercrew models so you can better decide which one is right for you.
Ford F-150 Supercab
Supercab is great if you’re planning on the occasional rear passengers – often enough where you want them to have more comfort than the tiny bench offered in a Regular Cab, but not so often that you need them to be afforded maximum comfort for long hauls. It’s a four-door model, with back doors that swing wide open on rear hinges to allow maximum access to the back seat.
Ford F-150 Supercrew
Here’s the one you want if you’re looking to carry rear passengers frequently or over long distances, and especially if your truck will be doing double-duty as a family hauler. A traditional four-door (with regular front-hinges on all four, unlike the Supercab), Supercrew is really designed with comfort in mind. More legroom and an overall roomier cabin make this one right for larger crowds.
Cargo Capacity in the F-150 Supercab and Supercrew Models
In both the Supercab and Supercrew models, F-150 offers the opportunity to maximize your cargo space inside the cabin as needed. The rear seats flip up in both models to allow for a fully flat load floor whenever the situation calls for it. So not only do you have your truck bed and towing capability for all the big stuff, but you’ve got plenty of space at your disposal right inside the cabin.
